Imposing traces of its strategic position are still to be seen along the Roman Flaminian Way.It was also the birthplace of one of the most valiant captains of fortune, called Gattamelata. The city is famous today for having inspired the Chronicles of Narnia written by the author C.S.Lewis and made into a very famous movie.
